Campaign: Santa Got Hacked
Delivered: Holiday film, global social campaign, global online campaign, global marketing materials
For thousands of years Santa has been collecting data. So what would happen if that data fell into the wrong hands? What would happen to the Holidays if Santa Got Hacked? We answered this question by creating a holiday campaign for Norton that put a new tech twist on a classic holiday character.
We even upped the Christmas spirit in our campaign by adding a secret phone number in our spot 1-844-HAPPY-ELF. The number was a direct hotline to the elf workshop that gave away free Norton to anyone that called and also gave tips on elf dating, North Pole workman's compensation and local elf activities.
In less than two weeks, the campaign accumulated over a million views was picked up by the media in North America, South America and Europe. The series was even broken into a three part TV campaign in Brazil.
Our first campaign worked so well we were asked to do a squeal. So what happens after Santa Got Hacked?…Santa Got Secure. In this episode, Santa completely upgraded the workshop with tech to try to make up for last year’s “incident.” It was great to see our cast again and work with the SGH team and director. Creativity picked us up again for the second year in a row for EDITOR'S PICK OF THE DAY.
