Play is an important part of human life. So when Harrah’s went through a complete property remodel, we knew it was the right time to re-center the company on play. With that in mind, we embraced the playful art of animation to recreate Harrah’s newly remodeled properties in a branding technique called playground pods.

Each pod was created and animated based off the real life textures, building materials and amenities the property offered. By building the assets in this manner we created a system that could cost effectively combine 36 different aspects of the resort to create experiences based off specific market needs. It really was a fun marketing toy that exceeded revenue goals, and also create fun within the Harrah’s organization. See animations below.

The pod approach gave us a very flexible and creative format to build print, outdoor, shuttle wraps, TV commercials, on property signage, a new logo design and a fresh look for typography. We literally could stack and arrange the elements to make anything we needed.


As the pods developed we arranged them in the shape of the actual property and made a TV spot out of them. See below.
